Château Clarke displays a beautiful crimson color in the glass with a deep purple rim. The nose is bright and precise, offering aromas of ripe wild berries and fresh cedar. With aeration, subtle woody and delicate vanilla notes emerge, enhancing the complex bouquet. The profile is full-bodied, rich, and well-balanced, with clean acidity lending elegance and velvety tannins leading to a smooth finish. This wine has excellent aging potential.

Founded in 1771 by the Irish Clarke family, Château Clarke is a historic Médoc wine estate renowned for its elegance, heritage, and innovation. In 1973, Baron Edmond de Rothschild acquired the property and initiated a complete transformation—restructuring the vineyards and investing in modern winemaking and storage facilities. His vision: to make Château Clarke a benchmark of quality in Bordeaux.

Today, the estate spans 135 acres of vineyards planted in limestone and clay soils—an ideal terroir for Merlot, the dominant grape variety and a rare find in the Médoc. These 30-year-old vines thrive among serene gardens and curated art installations, reflecting the estate’s commitment to beauty, balance, and Bordeaux excellence.
Château Clarke is also one of the few Médoc estates to produce a white Bordeaux wine. First crafted in 1890, Le Merle Blanc is a cherished part of the estate’s history. Revived by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, this vibrant white wine once made up a quarter of the Château’s total production and continues to captivate wine lovers around the world.
