    Brand Story:

Founded in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest and most respected wineries in Portugal’s Douro Valley, with over 300 years of continuous family ownership. Established by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, the estate remains in the hands of the same family and is currently led by sixth-generation owners João Ferreira Álvares Ribeiro and Francisco Ferreira.

Originally dedicated exclusively to Port wine, Quinta do Vallado expanded into premium dry Douro reds and whites in the 1990s, quickly earning a reputation for excellence. Today, the winery is consistently awarded 90+ point scores and has been recognized as a Wine & Spirits Top 100 Producer and one of the Top 100 Vineyards in the World.

The estate encompasses 250 acres of vineyards across two Douro sub-regions, including century-old field blends, single-variety plots, and certified organic vineyards. Steep, terraced sites are hand-harvested, producing wines that combine historic terroir with modern precision.
