Through its unique style, exclusive selection of the great terroirs of the Montagne de Reims, slow aging on lees, manual riddling on racks and surprising oval shape of the bottle, Amazone de Palmer is an exceptional champagne. Blending is an art taken to its highest form in the hands of our Cellar Master who selects and assembles the wines from three outstanding years depending on their level of expression and enriches them with a proportion of Solera de Chardonnay, aged for several decades, to strike the perfect balance.

Exotic aromas of caramelized pineapple, cinnamon, nutmeg, and dried fruit are followed by hints of candied citrus peel, roasted hazelnuts and brioche. Amazone de Palmer is complex, rich and intense on the palate with a remarkably fresh finish.

Wine Advocate (95 Points):
“A new prestige cuvée from Palmer, the debut release of the NV Brut Amazone is a blend of the 2012, 2010 and 2009 vintages, complemented by some 19% reserve wines drawn from a perpetual reserve, and it's equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all from the Montagne de Reims. Offering up aromas of crisp yellow orchard fruit, freshly baked bread, crisp nectarine, oyster shell and subtle hints of the biscuity complexity to come, it's medium to full-bodied, pillowy and seamless, its fleshy core of fruit girdled by ripe but racy acids and complemented by a pearly mousse. Disgorged last year with six grams per liter dosage, it's an impressively complete, well-structured wine that will be even better with a few years on cork.”

The Palmer Champagne house in Reims is one of the newest houses in Champagne—only 75 years old—young enough to still innovate but old enough to have respected heritage. It was founded by seven passionate grower-families, obsessed with producing top-quality and legendary champagne, with the clear vision to create a Grande Marque.

Palmer has holdings of over 500 acres of vineyards in the Montagne de Reims sub-region of Champagne, all of which are Premier or Grand Cru vineyards. With its labyrinthine chalk cellars, deep beneath the streets of Reims, and its wines that spend an extended amount of time on their lees, it’s little wonder why Champagne Palmer cuvées have such orchestral flavors—flavors which are always harmonious and balanced. One of the most unique cuvées in Palmer’s range is the Rosé Solera. Like in Jerez, a solera or “perpetual reserve,” is refreshed every year with an addition of wines from the latest harvest. Each vintage adds a layer of complexity to the final blend, telling a myriad of stories in one bottle.

Champagne Palmer is heavily committed to sustainable winegrowing, focusing on soil and vine nutrition, soil maintenance, treatment of the vines and sustainable protection of the vineyards. La Revue du vin de France, the lauded French wine magazine, bestowed Champagne Palmer the Vinegrowers Group of the Year award at the 13th edition of the RVF Grand Prix. This distinction rewards the commitment of Palmer’s dedicated winegrowers and the excellence of the Palmer & Co wines.
