2022 Matetic EQ Coastal Sauvignon Blanc

“The 2022 EQ Coastal Sauvignon Blanc wants to be a gastronomical Sauvignon Blanc produced with grapes from their coastal vineyard at 13 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean with citrus and white fruit and flowers. It has a balanced and persistent palate and a salty twist in the finish. It has 13.5% alcohol and good freshness and acidity…”

2019 Matetic EQ 'Quartz' Chardonnay

"Green apple, lime, oatmeal and some sour cream and nougat on the nose. A pure, medium-to-full-bodied chardonnay with an elegant palate and a creamy finish. Some oak bitterness in the end. Drink now." - James Suckling

2017 EQ Organic Pinot Noir

"The 2017 EQ Granite Pinot Noir had a more traditional vinification after they gained a better understanding of their vineyard, which has been worked biodynamically since it was planted. There is a meat and iron note here that gives it character; it has a soft texture and very fine tannins. It has balance and freshness..."

2018 Matetic Corralillo Pinot Noir

“Very attractive nose, swathed in focused, racy blue fruit and red berries. Some orange peel, ripe strawberries and oyster shell, too. Rich and full of flavor with supple tannin and a long finish…” - James Suckling

A Commitment to Organic and Biodynamic Practices

Rosario Valley
Nestled between Casablanca and San Antonio, the Rosario Valley offers prime conditions for red and white grape cultivation. Enclosed between the Pacific Ocean and Coastal Mountains, its proximity to the sea brings cool nights, morning fog, and coastal breezes, resulting in slow-ripening grapes with fresh acidity and intense flavors.
SOILS
Across Matetic Vineyards' three estate vineyards—Santo Tomás, Valle Hermosa, and El Rosario—a rich tapestry of soil diversity unfolds. From weathering red granite mixed with green volcanic tuff, quartz crystals, and carbonates to decomposed gray granite with iron-rich black mica, each vineyard contributes to the unique terroir.
ORGANIC & BIODYNAMIC WINES
Biological–dynamic agriculture promotes the biodiversity of the flora and fauna, protecting the health of the agriculturists and the consumers. The agricultural field is conceived as an individual, with the earth, plants, animals, cosmos, and men coming together to form one organism.
CELLAR
In 2004, Matetic Vineyards constructed a modern wine cellar meticulously designed to harmonize with organic and biodynamic practices. With a capacity of 600,000 liters and a gravitational flow design, it ensures delicate grape handling throughout fermentation and aging in 1,800 French oak barrels across three underground rooms.
