The Dynamic Duo of mother and daughter Kim and Margo Longbottom are what make Vintage Longbottom Wines stand out. The story begins with Kim and late husband Mark establishing the winery over 20 years ago, in the Padthaway region, but continues with the addition of Margo, the second generation.
Margo’s background is in fashion and digital marketing, which has proven to be a boon for the winery, as she has helped to usher the winery into a new era. That familial connection is what makes Vintage Longbottom shine. Kim, a native New Zealander, grew up with wine her whole life, and made it her passion as an adult. Vintage Longbottom was half her dream, half Mark’s. She increased the export and domestic presence of the famed Henry’s Drive and H Syrah and continues to tout those wines—as well as Vintage Longbottom—today. Now, the emphasis is on producing McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wines.
The Vintage Longbottom portfolio includes Henry’s Drive: classic Shiraz and Shiraz-blends with great character from the renowned McLaren Vale region. The top-tier Magnus, a wine that pays tribute to Mark’s strength, determination and character, comes from the elevated and celebrated, districts of Clarendon and Blewitt Springs within the McLaren Vale region. The H range, elegant and contemporary cool-climate wines grown and crafted in the Adelaide Hills, produces a Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Syrah.
